Pros and Cons of Vegetarian Diet Vs. Meat - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats.

Today Iam going to talk about the Pros and Cons of a Meat and Vegetarian diet, and there is a lot of controversy about it. And each diet has its good points, but what you really need to know about whether you are a meat eater or a vegetable eater, you need to have variety in your diet.

If you are strictly a carnivore which you really are not if you are a human, you are an omnivore, you probably will be eating some vegetables or some grains, you need to make sure that you get a wide range of nutrients. So, whether you are eating, you know, fish, chicken or beef or pork or lamb you still need to have your veggies with it and make sure that you rotate the foods that you have and not eat the same foods day in and day out.

And the same goes for a vegetarian. You know, you can get stuck on eating soy burgers and tofu and even be a junk food vegetarian, which is not very healthy at all. So you want to make sure you get variety in your diet, even if you are eating vegetables. One of the healthiest vegetarian ways to eat is to be an ovo-lacto vegetarian which means including eggs and dairy in your diet, so it is not one hundred per cent vegetables, but if you include eggs and dairy, you are going to be getting good quality proteins.

So, whether you are a vegetarian or meat eater, you are going to want to make sure that you pay attention to the quality of your diet and the variety of your diet, and this will ensure that you get the range of nutrients that humans need.
