Holy places

My photos from India.

My first trip to India was 1993 and up to now I visited India every year.

Traveling was quite an incredible experience, almost overwhelming in every way that you can imagine: sights, sounds, smells and even emotions that run wild when everything around you is so different from what you're used to. I like to take many pictures specially temples; nature and way of India live. All pictures are divided according to India states and specific holy places. Imagine how beautiful the highest mountains in the world, the Himalayas are, or what an ancient temple with over one million sculptures looks like? This is a taste of India.

India, originally knows as Braratawarsa or Hindustan is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populated country in the world.

Four major religions, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism originated here, while Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam arrived in the first millennium CE and shaped the region's diverse culture.  India is a republic consisting of many states.

India has rich cultural and historical heritage well preserved in its temple architecture and pilgrim sites. From the majestic Himalayan ranges in the North, to Kanyakumari in the South, India have thousands of temples dating back  hundreds of years. The statues of the Deities and  the decorations  in these ancient temples showcases one of the world's foremost artistic heritages.
