Vipramukhya Swami
Vipramukhya Swami was born April 23, 1953 in Morristown, New Jersey, USA. He grew up in Boonton, New Jersey and attended John Hill Elementary School and Boonton High. He got married, but soon dropped out of college (physics major) and joined ISKCON in 1973. He received first and second initiation from His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and later took sannyasa (the renounced order of life) in 1982. He is an ISKCON initiating spiritual master and has a small group of disciples in various places around the world.
Vipramukhya Swami is a traveling sannyasi based in England and Vancouver, Canada. Formerly he served as the temple president of Bhaktivedanta Manor, England. He is also a GBC Deputy and the regional secretary of ISKCON Long Island, and long time resident of ISKCON Vancouver, Canada. As of January 2, 2002, Vipramukhya Swami will be traveling extensively around the world.
